"Through the Founder" St. John Baptist de la Salle 1648
Through The Founder was commissioned by La Salle Academy in Providence, RI, to celebrate the 100th anniversary.
The unique and original bronze sculpture by me and Fernando Pezzino, is an entirely new likeness of the founder. It is inspired by his youth, idealism and leadership, at the age of 32, when he founded the Christian Brothers order. It engages young viewers with a combination of hand crafted modeling and computer aided fabrication.
It can be seen at its permanent installation at 612 Academy Ave in Providence.
